A new adaptation of the ever-current play from 1882.

New and elegant health spas are attracting large numbers of tourists and the economy of town flourishes like never before.

When Dr.Stokkmann discovers all the town´s prosperity is based on polluted water, the Mayor, his sister Petra Stokkmann, fights public disclosure and attempts a cover-up.

The conflict between the siblings disturbs the power structure of the town and soon spreads throughout the entire community.

 

A thought provoking production about ruthless power struggle,  the rights of nature, greed, secrecy, conscience and social responsibility.
